My Story
I have loved sewing for as long as I can remember! It started from when I used to watch my mum mending and sewing clothes (and her kindly letting me have a go!) to learning it at school, but it really escalated when on my 13th Birthday I got my very own sewing machine from my parents. Since then I have enjoyed sewing various things from clothing to curtains and other small clothing and hair accessories.
It was in the first ‘lockdown’ of 2020 (due to the coronavirus crisis), that I started making face masks for friends and family and my passion for sewing was re-ignited! After receiving many compliments and lots of positive feedback I decided to take the plunge and set up an online store to offer my products to all - hence ‘Dusky and Royce’ was born.
Since working with a variety of prints and fabrics I have found I've got a serious love affair with especially LIBERTY OF LONDON prints and am now expanding my range to offer fashionable and comfortable hair accessories.
I love what I do and because I'm obsessed with Liberty Fabrics I'm always buying new on trend prints - I feel totally privileged to make accessories that are not easily found on the high street and will be worn with love and treasured for years to come.
Dusky & Royce products are designed, carefully handmade and packaged beautifully by myself from my smoke and pet free home studio in Hampshire (UK).
